ABOUT THIS GAME
Nitronic Rush sets a new standard when it comes to survival car racing games. In the game, your vehicle is configured as an anti-virus program. You race through nine stunning tracks, cleaning up unstable Nitronic City. This means you have to drive through obstacles, jumping side boots, do barrel rolls and other maneuvers. Nitronic Rush is a futuristic racing game where your objective is to survive as long as possible by making use of your vehicle's surprising abilities. You can activate turbo engines, a pair of wings to help you glide, and even perform special jumps, Mario Kart style.
Distance is an atmospheric racing platformer. Fusing futuristic arcade racing with parkour, survive a deadly, mysterious, neon-drenched city by jumping, rotating, and flying.The roads are treacherous with obstacles around every corner. Instead of doing laps on a loop, survive to the end in the quickest time. Your car has abilities that not only allow you to drive on the track, but upside down and on buildings and walls! You can also fly to discover new shortcuts and paths. Take on the roads alone, or in multiplayer with your friends!
The game is a spiritual successor to the multi-award winning Nitronic Rush, created by ourselves and 5 others at DigiPen Institute of Technology. It was widely praised for its innovative mechanics, visual style, audio design, and atmosphere.

The RUSH Font Project is a collaboration between RUSH fans who have pooled their resources to compile a library of all available fonts used in the album art of RUSH.
Updated January 1, 2015, to include 'R40' fonts.
The current Rushfonts collection contains fonts for the following RUSH related releases:

Windows Installation:
For the cleanest installation we recommend downloading and unzipping the fonts to a temporary location of your choice and installing using your Windows Control Panel. On your Start Menu, go to Settings and open Control Panel. Click on the Fonts icon which will open the Fonts folder. Using the File pull-down menu, activate the Install New Font function. A dialogue box will open which requires you to browse for the font to be installed.
You can also just drag the unzipped fonts to the c:windowsfonts folder. The font 'should' install automatically. After the font has been installed it will be available in any program that lets you choose a font. This method may require restarting Windows for the fonts to register.
You can also unzip fonts directly into your c:windowsfonts folder, but you'll have to open your fonts folder and refresh it. If all else fails, restart your machine!
Macintosh Installation:
The RUSH fonts collection is made up of a complete set of true type fonts which work equally well on both PC and Mac platforms. In fact, the My Favorite Headache font is a Mac system font. The non-truetype fonts included in this collection are .eot (embedded open type) which are not required on a Mac. To install the trutype fonts, first close all programs, unzip the file and paste the fonts into your font folder located at Macintosh HD > Library > Fonts.
Linux Installation:
To install rush fonts on Linux (Ubuntu and Mint) open a terminal window and type the following commands (no previous package download needed):

sudo mkdir /usr/share/fonts/truetype/rushfonts
sudo unzip rushfonts.zip -d /usr/share/fonts/truetype/rushfonts/
cd /usr/share/fonts/truetype/rushfonts/

sudo fc-cacheNote, if you receive a message stating that a previous version of a RUSH font is already installed on your machine, we recommend deleting the old version and installing the new ones.

Websites can easily be formatted to display RUSH fonts using the Font Face tag, although Cascading Style Sheets are recommended. We recommend formatting using at least two fonts: for example; text formatted with <FONT FACE='PERMANENT WAVES, TIMES'> will display using Times if the Permanent Waves font is unavailable.
With the advent of CSS3, it is now possible to easily link to fonts which are automatically activated when needed from your webpages by using the @font-face attibute. For example, by adding this text into your style sheet...
@font-face { font-family: 'Syrinx'; src: url('fonts/Syrinx.eot'); /* EOT file for IE */ src: local('Syrinx'), url('fonts/Syrinx.ttf') format('truetype'); /* TTF file for CSS3 browsers */ }
...any class which references the 'Syrinx' font-face will link to the actual font and it will appear correctly on the visitor's browser without requiring prior installation. [Note, 'fonts' refers to a folder located in your website's root directory, which can be customized of course; if you want to same time, view this webpage's source code to see similar call-outs for every Rush font!]
