Windows 10 comes in either 32-bit or 64-bit arch. Whichever version you have, make sure to insert the DVD or copy the ISO image on the host computer running VirtualBox software. Now I've installed it again and it only offers 32-bit operation systems. It is not able to run the 64-bit ones. After searching internet I've came to conclusion that it is a windows problem with virtualization. I can't find any 'Enable virtualization' in BIOS and also there is not Hyper-V. I'm running 64-bit version of Windows 10 Home edition.

Since a lot of elevated and BIOS level elements are involved during virtualization (Hyper-V, Hypervisor, Hardware security etc.), it might be possible that you have some options not configured properly.
2. May 02, 2018 In Setting-General for Linux virtual machine, Type: Linux Version: only displays 32-bit OS. Need 64-bit OS as in past.

I installed the latest VirtualBox 5.0.10 r 104061.
When I run VirtualBox, I see only 32-bit operating systems for choice available.
In BIOS Intel Virtualization is enabled, Hyper-V in Windows 10 isn't installed.
When running the installation of VirtualBox again, choosing Repair, afterwards I can see also 64-bit operating systems for choice, the problem seems to be fixed. But when I reboot Windows, the same problem arises, only 32-bit operating systems available for choice.

I know this looks like same issue that's been reported numerous times over the years, but I think this one is different.

I've tried on 5 different 64-bit machines and made sure that on each of them both VT-x/VT-d are enabled and Hyper-V is not installed. Yet on three of the machines I am only allowed to select 32-bit guests and on the other two I can select 64-bit guests. What I've noticed is that the three machines that only offer 32-bit are running Windows 10 version 1709 and the two that offer 64-bit are running Windows 10 version 1703.
I know that Microsoft is pushing the 1709 updated so more and more machines will be running it over time. Can anyone else repro this issue? Any other workarounds I should try?
